Meets once at a scheduled time chosen on registration form. Live video session via ZOOM recorded and monitored for safety. Be prepared to join 5 minutes before the starting time. The Zoom link will be emailed to participants the day of the lab. Each participant is responsible for their supplies.
POP-UP VALENTINE’S DAY CARD!

Get ready to make a fun pop-up Valentine Card! A twist on a traditional valentine, we will create the pop-up on the inside. Together we will go step-by-step in creating a sensational card.
Ages 6-11 (should be comfortable using scissors, gluing and folding)

HOT COCOA BOMBS

Customize your own hot cocoa bombs. You will be able to mix and match flavors to create a custom treat for you and your family. We supply the 2.5” sphere mold, melting chocolate, cocoa and some fillings. Pick up in North Hampton, NH. Work with a pastry chef and visual artist. Perfect for your Valentine’s Day gifting!

Festive Holiday “Poppers”
$12 – 60min
Holiday poppers are a party favor filled with a joke, a party hat and a trinket used to celebrate festive events. Poppers are also called “crackers” because they make a loud noise when opened. We will write our own jokes and cut, create and glue our “crackers”. Use at your family holiday dinner or give as a gift!

“SUPERCOOL” Science
Ice Cream in a Bag
$12 – 60min
This ice cream in a bag activity is a must-try for any age! Kids will learn the science of supercooling liquid to below freezing point and will love seeing how quickly they can make their own ice cream in just 15 minutes. We will explore how salt impacts the science of ice cream making. Kids can get creative with toppings or mix-ins.

Holiday Kitchen Chemistry

In our first investigation we will discover how quickly we can make candy canes disappear (and I do not mean by eating them!) in various liquids. What is it that makes some disappear quickly and others not at all? In our second experiment we will examine one of the magic ingredients of baking yeast. What is going on with this ingredient? Why is it important? Why can it be so finicky in regarding our success or failure in the kitchen?

GIRL POWER! LEGO Hangout Lab for Girls

Meet new friends, have fun & build creative structures! This workshop is designed for girls who like to build and be creative. Girls will participate in LEGO build challenges, create designs of their own and share with the group.

Come hang out with us for an hour of building! Show off your creativity at LEGO Hangout Club! This workshop is designed for kids who love LEGO and want to build together with a new "build theme" each class! Kids will have the opportunity to meet new kids, build the “weekly challenge,” or build a design of their own. Kids will have an opportunity to share their creations with the group.

3D Paper Village

The paper winter village is a perfect decoration for the holiday season. It’s super easy to make if you have a cutting machine but can easily be cut by hand instead. The little paper houses have an LED light in the center.
